In July 2005 I travelled to Pau in the south west of France to take part in the thirteenth edition of Velo Magazine's l'Etape du Tour - a race over the same route as stage 16 of the 2005 Tour de France. On the day after the race I set out to ride back to Cambourne (a journey of around 1,200 km). I arrived home safely a week later. The following photos illustrate my adventure.
